Waterbury resident Sherry Richardson began her career in 1990 as a Child Development Counselor at the Greenshire School in Cheshire, Connecticut. While employed as a Child Development Counselor, she received her Professional License in Cosmetology from the Hair Technology Institute, which assisted in her ability to purchase, own, and operate Dave and Steve’s Barber Shop in Waterbury, Connecticut. In 1992, she joined the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer. Prior to retirement, for her contributions and work ethic exhibited throughout her stellar career, she received the prestigious award of “Correctional Officer of the Year'' in 2008.
Since her retirement from the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections, Sherry has accumulated over 15 years of real estate experience as a Licensed Real Estate Agent. Additionally, she has been a District Leader at Primerica Financial Services for seven years. Remaining dedicated to her faith, Sherry has been a leader in the Gospel for over 30 years and has overseen various faith-based committees throughout the Waterbury community. She also led the Good News Club after-school program for four years at Sprague School. She volunteers faithfully with the food bank at the Gathering Place Community Church. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her children and granddaughter.

Sherry Richardson provided superior real estate services in the sale of my parents home in Waterbury. She used multiple avenues to attract interest to the house: digital marketing, mass emails to territory Realtors and open houses. I was kept abreast of all showings including client feedback. Paperwork signatures were all digital, perfect for my situation not being near Waterbury. Her negotiation advice as well as knowledge of more complex issues were exceptional. She was also very aware of area resources to discuss house correctional needs. Her organization, knowledge and overall sensitivity to an emotional sale made this a very positive experience.
